That’s me. Well, that was me.
Born “big boned”
Growing up, I used my size to my advantage on the football field, boxing ring or gym, but when I graduated from college, the real world showed me the real consequences of not taking care of your health.
Five years after graduating college, I went for a routine physical. The scale measured just how much I love food. My blood pressure was high, like “you-need-medication-for-this” high. The doctor told me to lose weight or take medication for the rest of my life. I didn’t like the idea of being dependent on a pill to survive.
I decided to lose the weight.
